How does your smart updates work?
Via the BagID app, you’ll receive smart updates which help you to keep updated before you even commence your journey.
- Reminders that check in is open, and that BagID is ready to transfer your baggage tags etc.
- Useful updates about flight times, delays, gate numbers etc.
-Updates that your baggage has arrived at its destination, which baggage arrivals carousel it can be collected from, or if your baggage hasn’t landed with you etc.
*For certain areas and airports with only one baggage arrivals carousel, you will not receive a notification for which baggage arrivals carousel your luggage will arrive on.
This service are subject to subscription.
How do I connect my device to the app?
Press the left button to activate the bluetooth on your BagID device for 30seconds. When the bluetooth is active the LED will blink blue for 30seconds and follow the instruction on the BagID app.
Within the 30seconds you can transfer a baggage tag, name tag or do other stuff from your phone.
Which temperatures can BagID withstand?
BagID 2 tracks everything if it is between -4 degrees celcius to +60 degrees celcius.
My BagID is not showing up in the app
Ensure that your BagID have sufficient battery and that you have activated bluetooth on your phone. BagIDs pairing mode can be activated by clicking the left button once.
Android 10 or later is required and iOS 15 or later is recommended, but not required.
How to change the image or luggage tag from my previous trip on the screen of my BagID 2?
If you want to change the image or text or your luggage tag from your previous trip on the screen of your device you can go to the BagID app and choose your device and go to the setting and choose add new image.

Reboot
To reboot you BagID device click 3 times on the left button. Your device will confirm this action by beeping 2 times on a successful reboot.
Factory reset
To factory reset your BagID device click the right button 5 times (very fast) and then 3 times on the left button.
Your device will confirm this action by beeping 2 times and the welcome page will show.

Why haven't I received the activation email after registering?
Unfortunately, several mail servers have strict spam filters, which means that some emails from do not get through to the recipient. If you do not receive your activation email, this may be the case. Please check your spam folder.
How to check the battery status?
BagID 2 for Apple:
To check the battery status on your BagID 2 for Apple, you can press the right button once on your device.
BagID 2 for Samsung:
To check the battery status on your BagID 2 for Samsung, you can press the left button twice on your device.
To update the battery status on the BagID app go to BagID setting and choose update battery status.
What if the BagID 2 runs out of battery mid-flight?
The BagID 2 only uses battery when the Bluetooth is activated. The screen in itself does not use battery. If you should run out of battery during a flight, the bag tag will still show on your BagID.
BagID 2 is rechargeable and can be charged with a standard USB-C cable.
The battery lasts up to 1 year with tracking activated, and up to 2 years without tracking..
How robust is the BagID?
BagID has been designed in close collaboration with airlines and airports, and is designed to handle shock, rain and rough baggage handling.
The cover features rough edges for extra resistance against impact on the sides. The screen is made of a flexible material so that it is bendable and should not break, and the display is covered with a special designed protective glass. It is extremely resistant to scratches.
BagID has been tested by Avinor at Gardemoen airport (OSLO International airport) for verification that it can withstand rough baggage handling conditions.
Crash testing of the BagID has also been performed. The BagID was attached to the underside of a 27kg suitcase and dropped from a 1 meter height. The only registered damage from the testing was a scratch on the mounting plate. The screen was undamaged and remained fully readable.
What if the BagID falls off my luggage?
BagID is extremely unlikely to fall off your bag if it is mounted correctly.
The BagID 2 is mounted to your baggage using the attachment casing. The casing can be attached and detached, so you can switch it between different bags.
You attach an aluminum bar to the handle of your bag by tightening two velcro straps firmly. You then place the BagID inside the casing, slide it onto the bar and fasten it with a locking pin.
For extra security, also against theft, attach our TSA padlock to your device and the handle of your luggage.
If you use our padlock and have tracking activated - we will replace your device free of charge if you lose it during travel.

Can BagID 2 be charged?
Yes, BagID 2 uses a rechargeable battery. The battery can be charged with a standard USB-C cable that is included with your BagID 2 purchase.
Can I turn off my BagID device when i am not travelling?
Unfortunately, you can not turn off BagID 2 device.
The BagID device only uses battery when the Bluetooth is activated.
Serial number lookup
The serial number (S/N) is found on the back of the BagID device or you can find it on the BagID app under BagID setting and you can find the serial number on the bottom.
